Big Messy Bridal Braid

Diesen Zopf wollte ich schon sooooo lange ausprobieren. Er kursiert auch unter dem Namen "Mermaidbraid" (aber unter Mermaidbraid gibt es wiederum zig verschiedene Zöpfe...) und ich finde ihn großartig, weil er einfach so riesig ist.
I wanted to try this braid for soooo long. You might know it as a "mermaidbraid", but "mermaidbraid" is a name which is used for too many different types of braids... I love this braid as it is so huge!

Eine Videoanleitung findet ihr hier bei Cinthia Truong. Nur eben bis ans Ende flechten.Flechtet den Mittelzopf schön stramm und nutzt lieber ein Topsy-tail als eure Finger.
You find a video tutorial for this technique on Cinthia Truong's youTube channel. Just braid right until the end of your hair.  Braid the middle braid tightly and use a topsytail instead of your fingers.

Sieht aus wie eine Fischgräte auf den ersten Blick, ist aber nicht nur breiter von vorn, sondern vor allem auch von der Seite. Ein schön dicker, volumiger Zopf. Looks very similar to the popular fishtailbraid but is even larger both seen from the fron (from behind I mean) and from the sides. A really nice, big, volumous braid.

Für die Fotos habe ich einfach drauf los geflochten. Für eine echte Braut würde ich bei diesem Zopf zu Festiger oder Haarspray raten, sonst erachte ich den Zopf für nicht sehr haltbar, da die Strähnen eher locker liegen. Je glatter und seidiger das eigene Har ist, desto schwieriger wird diese Technik.Ich vermute, idealerweise ist die Haarstruktur etwas starrer ("griffig"), gern etwas wellig oder gar lockig, dann dürfte es besser halten.
For this picss I just started braiding and was surprised by the nice result. For a real bride I would recommand using styling products to fix the look as I guess this style won't tlast very long without. The straighter and silkier your hair is the more difficult it may get, I think. So I guess that rather coarse hair, maybe even wavy or curly might be best for this.
